BR5 is a semi-independent living service ideal as a final step before independent living.

Appropriate for:
Young people in and leaving care aged 16-25, including Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). This service can also accommodate young parents and their children.
About the accommodation
BR5 consists of five self-contained flats, each with a bed-sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. Communal areas include a staff office and space for meetings and workshops. The office is staffed across flexible hours in line with resident needs.
About the support
This service offers a homely environment where young people can develop their independent living skills, while still providing access to support when they might need it including translation services and 24/7 phone support. CCTV in communal areas and visiting overnight concierge staff ensures safety for all.
Staff are trained in trauma-informed approaches and have received additional training around child exploitation awareness. The team co-produce support plans in partnership with young people, focusing on independence and empowerment.
