Look Ahead is delighted to publish our Impact Report for 2023/24. The report highlights the impact Look Ahead has made for the people we support and the wider community over the last year. It focuses on how we have worked in partnership to develop new, innovative, and replicable services, and delivered quality support to a range of individuals including people with mental health needs; people living with learning disabilities and autism; young people and people with experience of care; and people with experience of homelessness and other complex needs across all 109 of our services in London and the South East.

Some of our most celebrated achievements were:

  • Launching our new Ealing-based Oaklands and St Kilda’s service for young people with experience of mental health crisis.
  • Setting up a new bespoke service in Hertfordshire for an individual with a learning disability and complex needs to live more independently.
  • Expanding access to talking therapies to customers at all 17 of our homelessness and complex needs services.
  • Providing lifesaving support to 465 people affected by domestic abuse across Kent and London.
  • Designing a new service that will use the World Health Organization-endorsed “Trieste” community health care model.
  • Over four out of five people who live in our services told us they are satisfied that Look Ahead provides inclusive and accessible services, information, and accommodation.
  • Overall, over three quarters (77.5%) of our tenants told us they are satisfied with the service provided by Look Ahead.
  • Supporting and/or providing services to a total of 3,808 people.

As our Impact Report can show you, the last year has been an exciting time. Despite the many challenges faced by both social housing and care we have continued to deliver positive outcomes for the people we support.

We have worked together with partners from the public, private and voluntary sectors to open several specialist services and trial innovative ways of supporting individuals to enjoy a better quality of life in the community. Thank you to all our staff, customers, and partners for all you have done in the last year.
